International logistics provider Peterson has announced its site at Edzell has been recognised as an Authorised Customs Warehouse unlocking a range of new client benefits to support their operations.
The Customs Warehouse Authorisation means Peterson now has a public customs warehouse at Edzell which allows our customers to store goods, and then re-export to the UKCS or a Third Country, without the payment of import VAT and duties. The storage period within the company’s customs warehouse is indefinite, unlike the defined period imposed by HMRC when operating alternative customs special procedures.
The company has also recently been awarded Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status and the Edzell facility has been officially certified as carbon neutral under the PAS 2060 accreditation.
AEO status is an internationally recognised quality mark which demonstrates Peterson’s supply chain is secure and we have robust customs control procedures in place. This allows us to move goods quicker, therefore improving the supply chain for customers.
