Keith is responsible for health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ) covering strategy and implementation for global operations. A committed HSSEQ professional, Keith has more than 20 years’ oil and gas experience and has led Peterson’s ongoing safety performance improvement with a key focus on personal responsibility, employee engagement and the Peterson lifesaving rules. As a safety leader, Keith endeavours to make a positive impact on attitudes and behaviours to improve organisational performance.
As qualified lead auditor (ISO 45001 & 9001) and a Lead incident investigator (Top Set); he holds an honours degree in Business Management, numerous safety and security qualifications and also qualifications in training and development, including a Certificate in Personnel Practice – CIPD, and D32/D33/D34 assessor and verifier awards.
Keith is a strong advocate of improving industry safety culture and previously held the role of Chairman in the industry best practice document – the Oil and Gas Cargo Guidelines and is currently the Co-chair. He also has affiliations with: Step Change in Safety, DROPS Forum, Marine Safety Forum and Oil and Gas UK, IOSH and IIRSM.
