Peterson provides a range of marine and vessel assurance services conforming to OCIMF (OVID), IMCA (CMID), IMO and MSF standards and formats. In addition, we also provide a client specific service, where assurance services are tailored to individual company requirements. Our clients include field operators, vessel owners and third party charterers.

We are also able to conduct company and vessel audits against the ISM Code, ISO 9001 and the ISPS Code. Other services include the provision of inspections of Bridge Team Management (BTMA), Safety Management (SMAT) and Tank Cleaning (TCI) operations.

Peterson and their expert teams can significantly enhance marine safety through the periodic survey, inspection and audit of all types of offshore support vessels and base facilities.

The department is also able to offer the following DP assurance services, with substantial experience within the Maritime, Offshore and Engineering sectors including:
  • Production of DP FMEA for ‘new build’ and converted vessels
  • Conduct and reporting of DP Annual Trials
  • FMEA Review
  • DP Incident Investigation
Through its team of staff mariners and independent marine consultants, we can provide professional marine expertise for the following operations:
  • Semi-submersible and jack-up rig moving
  • Ocean towage
  • FPSO operations including installation, and hook up, disconnection and removal from location and heading control operations for subsea interventions etc
  • AHTS marine reps
  • Overseeing annual DP trials
  • Heavy lift, load-outs, and offshore construction projects
  • Marine accident and incident investigation
  • Marine safety coaching

As an industry leader in the area of vessel sharing and pooling, Peterson is facilitators of the Aberdeen Marine Logistics Alliance (AMLA) which has over thirty members and enables these members to share each others vessels and deck space on an opportunity basis.

With plans to launch the CNNS vessel pool in the Central and Northern North Sea during 2017, Peterson will manage the operation from Aberdeen that involves an initial four operators serving five installation with a single large PSV.

Peterson also provides 24/7 Marine & Logistics Co-ordination services to both Shell and Taqa and has staff marine professional to provide dedicated support to Shell UK and the SNS Pool in Den Helder.

Peterson keeps up to date with national and international regulations, guidelines and industry trends by maintaining an extensive marine library and through membership of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and the Marine Safety Forum (MSF).
